Gold Medals and Records for You and Canada in February

Monday, March 1st, 2010

The Canadian ice hockey team rounded off a great winter olympics for the host nation last night with a gold medal, and it was a good olympics overall after a tragic start.  But you lot emulated their achievement with a great month’s website visiting at this very site.

Winter Olympics Time February 2010 Website Statistics

While the winter olympics gripped the mainstream media’s sporting attention, a lot of you found time to visit this liddle ol’ website, and this was despite the star of the show, the one and only GG, being deep in hibernation slumber!

Anyway, on with the show, and all the categories show a steady rise in February from previous years, and even January this year, despite there being three more days in January than February.

I’m trying to keep up with the rising quality of your website visiting, so I’m bringing you the statistics in glorious greenygrey technicolour this month.  Cheers.

Werewolf Popularity

January Statistics Best Ever for Greenygrey

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Celebrity Big Brother Alpha Werewolf wasn’t such a disaster for GG after all.  Not only did it win the werewolf version of the popular reality television show, and get some good kip in the process, but the 2010 stats for this website were the best January yet:

In January 2010 there were 504 unique visitors, compared to 397 last year and only 89 in 2008.

In January 2010 there were 893 number of visits, compared to 633 last year and 155 in 2008.

In January 2010 there were 3701 page views, compared to 2933 last year and 2266 in 2008.

In January 2010 there were 11546 hits, compared to 6489 last year and 16680 in 2008.

In January 2010 there was 81.66 MB bandwidth used, compared to 56.64 MB last year and 58.67 MB in 2008.

So all the trends seem to rising in general, with only the Hits stats an aberration; that is because they went a bit barmy in the first January, when the website first entered the big worldwide web.

GG will be delighted when it wakes!

World Records Tumble, but not in July

Monday, August 10th, 2009

Hi, it’s GG here, and it’s a very exciting time to be greenygrey at the moment, as the Greenygrey world has gone crazy busy in August, and thanks for all your visits.

 August World Records

Greenygrey world records have been tumbling like it’s the first week of the Beijing Olympics, and I’ll have more about that tomorrow.

Solo Aspirations

The August rush is all the more surprising because July was a quiet month, and then Marc Latham, who I’d left to keep the blog busy, disappeared before August started.

Maybe I’d be better off without him, and should go solo?  No, mustn’t let my celebrity status get the better of me and become a greedy werewolf.

July Statistics

One season’s (2009) best did go in July, with Hits of 12995.  Gold medal for the July hitsters.

Unique visitors for July of 639, Number of visits of 1504, and Pages of 4616 were all second best this year.  Silver medal for you.

Bandwidth of 128.11 was middling, and didn’t get any medals.

Big Greenygrey News Tomorrow

Join me tomorrow for the extraordinary stats for August, including new Greenygrey world records.

Keep those records coming, and see you in the ‘morrow, GG.

UK Takes Clean Sweep as Unique Visitors Are Second Highest Ever

Friday, May 1st, 2009

Hi, it’s the Greenygrey here.  Thanks to you all for visiting during April, and the statistics are below.

Sorry I can’t be with you at the Live at the Lib event tonight, but I’m off to Yellowstone for a special Greenygrey report with the North Rockies wolves.

Can I just say, before I change into an eagle for the transatlantic journey, that I think Caroline Gill’s new Folding Mirror poem on the fmpoetry blog is great.

Cheers, and have a great weekend, GG.

The Visitor Data

The Unique Visitors was the second highest ever: 515.  That was second only to November last year, when there were 525 visitors.

The other figures were a little down on last month, but still high, and way up on April last year.

Number of visits was 1353, Pages 4228, Hits 10185 and Bandwidth 86.71MB.

UK Takes Clean Sweep in Last Greenygrey World Cup

The Greenygrey world cup will not be continuing after this month, as we believe in protecting the privacy of our visitors, and think that it may put people off visiting rather than encouraging them to do so.  If you really want it to continue please let us know, and we may reconsider.

After a couple of erratic months the UK returned to form, and took all three titles.

In the Pages the UK just pipped Germany to the gold; 39 to 38.  China and Mexico shared bronze with 21.

In Hits, the UK had 103 and Germany were again in silver with 38.  China and Mexico again shared bronze with 21.

In Bandwidth the UK had 933.24KB, Germany took silver with 488.28KB and with amazing coordination, China and Mexico shared bronze with 398.41KB.

I hope you enjoyed the stats, and make May an even better month.

Cheers, and have a great May Day weekend!
