I Want to be the Next Susan Boyle

Had a right bollocking off the green and grey one about not blogging enough last week, but we’ve sorted it out now.  It asked if I really wanted this gig, and I said I really do: I want to be poetry’s Susan Boyle.

GG accepted this, and we partied a bit before it flew back to support the North Rockies wolves in Yellowstone.

Lynyrd Skynyrd UK Tour

I’ve got some good excuses for my non-appearances last week, and thanks a lot for nevertheless continuing to visit.

Working backwards, I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd on their European tour at the Manchester Apollo on Saturday night and they were awesome.

They played a non-stop classics set, and it was great to hear the band play all those wonderful tracks live.

Gary Rossington was cool personified, Rickey Medlocke was fantastic throughout and Donnie Van Zant kept the show rolling and did Ronnie proud. 

The rest of the band and the Honkettes were also great, and the support act, the Listener was also good.

Thanks to the band for visiting the UK and Europe and very best of luck for the rest of the tour.
